this month's haiku:

Crack! lightning strike fire
the deer do not play today
they flee just like me

THIS TWILIGHT

This twilight has a unique spirit;
each moment is a singular moment
of particular beauty
in every way

the sky has changed to a deeper hue
white-streaked and ultramarine blue
jet's contrail says it's cold up there
as the red-orange flash

disappears, shuttered in the western sky;
having illuminated in vermillion bright
what fog remained at the end
of the day
