Slivered moon a pale silver shadow of herself
she still casts her glow,
weakened by a summer sun that shone so bright
my eyes I had to shield.
But that sister adorning the starry sky tonight
like a mother's tender touch to her baby's brow
a gentle shining, her form a radiant smile
to which I yield.
